Thermite Mines will be wanted for the same reason as Raging Tempest. Purifier will want to focus on Fire Strike tree and unlike PS, FS does work with WPS and you'll want to grab those in inquisitor mastery however, as Fire Strike tree goes all the way through from 1 to 50 in mastery you'll probably want a detour somewhere in the middle to start grabbing stuff in inquisitor. Wind Devil tree is also pretty important because Raging Tempest brings elemental resistance reduction - even if doesn't do lighting damage. PS can also be pretty enegry intensive in the early game. Vindicator should focus on Primal Strike tree (with Thunderous Strike for being able to spam it) in shaman mastery and you do not want to grab any "techniques activing off default weapon attacks" (WPS) in inquisitor - these do not work with PS. IIRC you don't really get any guaranteed 2H fire/lightning damage guns until you get accees to farmable ones in Ugdenbog (beginning of Ashes of Malmouth DLC) but if you're on normal you should manage with whatever upgrades you'll get until you'll get access to these.

If you want to do other classes you'll probably have to level them some other way and only swap to 2H ranged when you have levels and gear. Both of these expect you to have Ashes of Malmouth DLC and there's no good way around it - Inquisitor brings a lot. As you lack gear and/or experience - Vindicator (shaman+inquisitor) or Purifier(demolitionist+inquisitor) for lightning or fire damage respectively are probably your best bets. Released in 2016, it currently has two expansions: Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. This ARPG features complex character development, hundreds of unique items, crafting and quests with choice & consequence.
